Prior to NRG, Paul was a vice president of finance at Ram Power, Corp., a geothermal energy startup, where he directed corporate and project finance activities. Prior to it, he served as a deputy director responsible for business development at Ormat Technologies, Inc., a geothermal power developer and operator. Prior to that, Paul held various other positions at Ormat, including an asset manager responsible for all Ormat’s projects in the United States. Bryan Banke is responsible for the performance, both operational and financial, of all Enerparc, Inc. U.S. assets. Enerparc is a privately held company based in Hamburg, Germany. It provides solar EPC services across 19 countries and owns 1GW as a solar IPP.
Mr. Banke is an early creator of standardized operating policies and procedures in the management of solar asset portfolios, and his ideas and extensive knowledge of real world operations have been published and presented before numerous industry conferences and working groups. Prior to joining the Enerparc family, Bryan managed NRG Energy’s Distributed Generation portfolios before assuming control of the solar and wind operations for Renewable Energy Trust Capital.

Mark Esguerra has been with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) approximately 20 years where he has held various leadership positions, which include Distribution Planning, Transmission Planning, Electric Generation Interconnection and Transmission & Substation Engineering Standards departments. Currently, Mark is the Director of PG&E’s Integrated Grid Planning team in the Grid Integration and Innovation Organization where he leads PG&E’s efforts on the Distribution Resources Plan (DRP), Integrated Distributed Energy Resources (IDER) and Rule 21 (interconnection) regulatory proceedings. In addition, Mark leads PG&E’s collaborative efforts with the CAISO and other utilities around the development of a technical coordination framework at the Transmission and Distribution Interface to enable DER aggregations seeking to participate in wholesale energy markets.
Mark Esguerra earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University. Chuck Smith is the executive vice president of Global Operations and Maintenance Sales and Solutions for SMA Solar Technology AG, headquartered in Germany. In this role, he is responsible for establishing SMA as the solar industry’s leading O&M service provider across all commercial and utility PV product and market segments. Smith’s duties include global O&M business strategy development and leadership, sales, solution and process innovation, and talent acquisition. He also drives customer loyalty and seamlessly aligns SMA O&M Sales and Solutions with all other company business functions (strategy, technology, operations, finance, legal and human resources) and business units (commercial, utility and off-grid/hybrid).
Smith joined SMA in 2010 as the senior manager of SMA’s North American service operations and quickly moved up the ranks to his current position. Before that, he spent 25 years with Hewlett-Packard in Roseville, California, where he held numerous senior management positions leading various global service and research and development teams.
Smith received a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus, Ohio. He then went on to earn master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Columbia, Maryland, and the Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA program, a joint venture of Columbia University in New York and the University of California, Berkeley.

Timo Moeller is the Commercial Director for First Solar’s Energy Services business, which is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. He has 20+ years of experience in technical support, business operations and business development during his career at First Solar and BASF.
Prior to his current role, Timo was the Global Director, Customer Support Services at First Solar that included the strategic development and execution of the company’s Customer Service strategy as well as all Performance and Warranty Contracts and Negotiations of all First Solar product sales globally, from components to utility scale power plants.
Timo joined First Solar in 2006 as an Applications Engineer in Mainz, Germany and was promoted to Technical Customer Service Manager EMEA in 2008. He moved to the US in 2011 to establish a regional technical service organization for the Americas for First Solar.
As a graduate of First Solar’s Executive Leadership Program, Timo has led the Commercial Operations Team of First Solar’s Energy Services since August 2017.
He has a Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical College Worms, Germany and a Degree in Business Management with a focus on Information Management from VWA Mannheim, Germany.

Ms. Bybee has worked in the solar industry since 2003, first promoting renewable energy policy in Austin, TX while at Public Citizen, and then at Meridian Energy Systems, before finding her home at Namasté Solar. Ms. Bybee joined Namasté Solar in January 2006 as an early member of the team and held numerous roles over her 11 years, from technical sales & design to business development. While there, she worked to obtain a federal charter for a unique financial institution that funds clean energy products and services: Clean Energy Credit Union (www.cleanenergycu.org). This was only the 17th federal charter issued since 2010, and the first in the state of Colorado for over 30 years. She continues to serve as a volunteer on the Supervisory Committee of the credit union. Additionally, in 2016, she helped earn an award from the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative to found the Amicus O&M Cooperative (www.AmicusOM.com). The O&M Cooperative brings together a network of providers across the country to provide coordinated services for geographically distributed portfolios. Mr. Matt Murphy is the Vice President of Fleet Management for Greenbacker Renewable Energy where he is responsible for day to day operations and maintenance, fleet performance, and technical due diligence. In his current position Matt oversees a portfolio of over 200MW of residential solar, commercial and utility solar, and wind power plants across 18 States. During his time at Greenbacker he has been instrumental in building systems and processes to enable the successful rapid growth of the Greenbacker fleet. Previously Mr. Murphy was Director of Operations & Maintenance for Borrego Solar where he oversaw a fleet of 500 Megawatts of solar power plants across 11 states. Matt managed a national O&M team and was responsible for the highest level of escalation within the department. On a daily basis he ensured that each region was performing optimally. He also served as the department’s data & communications technical expert. Previously, Matt was the East Coast O&M Manager for Borrego Solar, where he oversaw the East Coast fleet as it grew from five to fifty megawatts. Matt’s specialties included data and electrical troubleshooting, lean management implementation, risk mitigation, insurance claim management, data analysis, and CMMS infrastructure build out. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, he worked for five years at the Vermont-based electrical contracting company Peck Electric, where he was instrumental in creating and running Peck’s solar PV division (now in the top 30 solar installers in the country) and was responsible for every job function from sales to system commissioning. Hugh Kuhn has more than 30 years of business and engineering experience. He is a seasoned solar executive who has worked on projects involving over 100 distinct solar arrays – ranging from 250kW rooftop systems to 250MW ground-mount projects. He has managed teams responsible for the ongoing operations of portfolios of hundreds of C&I projects, as well as worked closely with clients owning multiple utility-scale arrays. He has seen firsthand the good, the bad and the ugly of the PV world. In 2009-10 Hugh led a collaborative effort to establish the “Thresher Test”, a series of de facto PV module chamber tests to help investors gain comfort in the long-term reliability and durability of modules. This catalyzing effort has evolved within NREL (PV Quality Assurance Task Force, PVQAT) and related work within the IEC. Mr. Kuhn currently works independently consulting with developers, investors and owners of solar assets. Hugh is currently working closely with Macquarie Infrastructure Company, providing owner’s oversight of project construction and long-term operations as well as technical due diligence assistance during project acquisition efforts. Hugh is on the Board of Directors of MaxGen Energy Services, a company consisting of an independent solar O&M services business (MaxGen O&M) and independent data platform software provider (PowerFactors Inc.)

Jason Raymond is Sr. Analysis Asset Management at NRG Energy. Before NRG, Jason has worked as a Land Manager securing land for projects, he started and built the Asset Management processes and procedures for Clenera, LLC, and has worked with all the reporting to the different Investors. While continuing his Asset Management role, Jason took on the additional responsibility of becoming a Project Supervisor with the construction teams and became the CAISO NRI and Telecom specialist. Leonardo Micheli is a researcher within the PV Performance and Reliability Group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). During the past three years, Leonardo has been working on the U.S. Department of Energy-funded “Addressing Soiling: From Interface Chemistry to Practicality” project. Leonardo is in charge of the maintenance of a soiling map for the United States and is part of the team that developed a method to extract soiling losses from PV performance data. At NREL, he has investigated the correlations between soiling and environmental parameters, and has studied the seasonality of soiling. He is involved in the effort to develop a standard on the abrasion due to soiling and cleaning, and he is member of the International Photovoltaic Quality Assurance Task Force (PVQAT) – Task Group 12. Leonardo received a PhD in Renewable Energy from the University of Exeter (UK), with a thesis on the concentrator photovoltaics.

Mr. Hanawalt has worked in the independent power industry since its birth in the early 1980's. Over the past thirty years, has developed a deep set of operational & management skills including start-up engineering, performance engineering, operations management, and asset optimization.
Steve started his career as an engineer with International Power Technology. Recognizing personal computing technology allowed engineers for the first time to automatically acquire and process realtime plant data, he founded Power Factors Incorporated in 1986 to provide plant performance analytic services to the power industry. Steve successfully ran Power Factors as CEO for 12 years before being recruited by Calpine in 1999 to develop its Plant Optimization business unit. Steve developed and led the group for 7 years where his team was responsible for optimizing the thermal and economic performance of Calpine’s 25,000 MW portfolio of combined cycle power plants.
In 2007, Steve left Calpine to join SunPower Corporation as Global Vice President of O&M where he had responsibility for commissioning and managing the largest fleet of solar photovoltaic power plants in the world at the time. Recognizing the solar industry needed an independent monitoring and asset management software platform, Steve left SunPower in January of 2012 to form Power Factors LLC with two additional partners.
Steve is an Executive Vice President at Power Factors where he works with customers to ensure their successful use of the Power Factors’ SaaS solution which is now monitoring over 20 GW of solar and wind power projects around the world.

Mark was one of the original founders of the solar development company, Renewable Ventures in 2005, which became FRV US and was acquired by SunEdison in the third quarter of 2011. Clyde Loutan is presently a Principal Engineer at the California Independent System Operator Corporation (ISO) focusing on power system operation performance, and was the Principal Investigator for several technical studies including the ISO’s renewable resource integration reports published in 2007 and 2010. He develop the ISO’s original “Duck Curve” to demonstrate how the increasing amount variable resources will change how the balancing of the grid is managed. He was also instrumental in working with NERC to identify ramping capability or flexibility as an essential reliability service needed to integrate higher levels of renewable resources. Mr. Loutan has been instrumental in developing several operating policies and was the lead engineer in charge of investigating the root cause of the California blackouts in 2000/2001. He served on the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Frequency Responsive Reserve and the NERC Reliability Based Control Standards workgroups and currently serve on the Essential Reliability Services Working Group.
Mr. Loutan previously worked at the Pacific Gas and Electric Company for 14 years in various capacities such as Real Time System Operations, Transmission Planning and High Voltage Protection.
Mr. Loutan is a licensed professional engineer in the State of California. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Howard University in Washington D.C., and is a senior member of the IEEE.

Jamie Mordarski is the senior manager of operations and maintenance (O&M) for SMA America, the U.S.-based subsidiary of SMA Solar Technology AG, headquartered in Germany. In this role, he is responsible for all operations and budgets for SMA’s O&M and preventive maintenance contracts in North America, totaling more than 1.7 GW of projects. He also works with SMA’s Solar Monitoring Center, a state-of-the art facility that provides advanced, real-time remote monitoring of commercial and utility-scale PV plants. Mordarski has worked in 15 countries and has more than 20 years of experience in power generation, field service, maintenance, controls and operations in nuclear power, fuel cells and photovoltaics. Ms. Lind has been in the energy industry for over 15 years. Most recently, Ms. Lind as the Vice President of Business Development for Apparent led Apparent’s participation in the new CAISO DERP, signing the first Distributed Energy Resource Provider Agreement with CAISO. Prior to Apparent, she was the Energy/Sustainability specialist for Berkshire Bridge Capital raising capital and developing partnerships for innovative, early stage companies. Previously Ms. Lind was the Renewable Energy Industry Specialist with the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED). While at GOED she was the Industry lead on the successful Tesla Gigafactory bid and the lead on the SolarCity corporate expansion into Las Vegas. Before joining GOED, she was Director of Asset Management for First Wind, a utility scale wind power business with projects spanning from Maui to Maine. The projects included the first utility scale battery with wind, the first wind farms in New England and some of the first wind farms to participate in the ancillary services market. Ms. Lind began her career working in the Global Power group at Lehman Brothers in Europe. After earning her MBA, Ms. Lind joined Southern California Edison’s Energy Planning group and then served as the company’s Manager of Community Involvement. Ms. Lind holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Systems from Stanford University.

Since 2014, José María Lujambio coordinates the energy practice of the law firm Cacheaux, Cavazos & Newton, where he is a partner, from his office in Austin, Texas. His work with clients has included regulatory support to utility-scale renewable energy projects; enablement of qualified suppliers and traders to participate in the wholesale electricity market, negotiation of several kinds of energy procurement contracts, and advice in the midstream and downstream regulation of natural gas and refined products, for U.S. companies doing business in Mexico.
Previously, he worked for many years in the Mexican government. From 2009 to 2012, he served as General Legal Counsel of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission, where he was responsible for leading the implementation of Mexico’s 2008 energy reform, in the renewable energy and gas sectors. Also, from 2005 to 2009, he worked as an attorney within the Legal Counsel’s Office of Mexico’s President, concentrating on legislation and presidential rules, and constitutional affairs.
In the academic arena, in 2014 Lujambio obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, with energy concentration, from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2013 Lujambio taught an Energy Law course at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), where he had gotten his Law Degree back in 2002. Also in 2013 he coordinated the energy research and networking agenda of the Center of Research for Development (CIDAC), with US-AID funds. He also holds a Master of Fundamental Rights degree from the University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain.

Ms. Peterson is SVP, Solar Operations at Terraform Power. At Terraform, she manages 515 operating solar assets (~1.1GW) in the U.S., Canada, UK and Chile. Prior to joining Terraform, she led Brookfield Renewable Partner’s solar M&A and development efforts globally and led the solar due diligence efforts to acquire 51% of Terraform Power and act as its Sponsor, and acquire 100% of Terraform Global with a total portfolio of ~1.4GW solar operating assets (~$3bln total enterprise value).

Ms. Peterson is a senior energy and infrastructure executive with over 20 years of experience in the conventional and solar power generation industry as an investor, banker and director. Ms. Peterson has served as CFO and CEO of both privately held and public companies across the clean technology sector and as an investment banker at Citibank and ABN AMRO Bank internationally. She has been in the solar industry since 2007, having held executive management and finance positions with solar investment and manufacturing companies – Brookfield Renewable Partners, EDF Renewable Energy and Suntech. Ms. Peterson also served as CEO of utility-scale solar construction company, Greenwood Biosar, and various other project development companies. Prior to her involvement in the solar industry, she was Vice President of Structured Finance at several divisions of ABN AMRO Bank in the U.S. and Middle East, and at Citicorp/Citibank in the Financial Institutions Group. In her banking career, she financed over $5bln worth of structured finance deals in power generation, telecom and equipment sales transactions around the world. A native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, she graduated with an MBA from the University of Chicago and also holds a Bachelor degree of Business Administration from Boston University. She also completed graduate coursework at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Sean consulted on over 2 GW of renewable and energy storage projects in support of project finance with Leidos Engineering. Mehul Mehta has served as a Principal in the Investments group of Greenbacker since June 2016 bringing with him over 10 years of experience within energy finance, working in a wide variety of roles and functions over that period. From 2015 to 2016 Mehul worked at BlackRock Infrastructure Investment Group within the Global Renewable Power team helping structure and execute investments into the North American renewable power space. Prior to this role, he worked at UBS within the equity research department helping cover alternative energy and semiconductor capital equipment companies, working on a team consistently ranked as a top research team by Institutional Investor. From 2012 to 2014 he worked at Recurrent Energy, a leading solar developer, where he worked in Business Planning and Analysis and in the Originations which was responsible for bidding and executing Power Purchase Agreements. Mehul began his career as a power and natural gas options trader, first at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2006 to 2009 and later from 2009 to 2010 at Hess Energy Trading Company (now Hartree, a part of Oaktree Investments). Mehul received his BA in Mathematics and Economics from New York University and his MBA from Yale University.

Eight years ago, he took a complete turn and changed the whole focus of his business towards renewable energy. That was the change that created Ecopulse, currently the leading DG EPC Company in Mexico. In renewables he found the real purpose of his company.
In 2017 Gerardo co-founded Guard Energy to provide a real solution towards the great challenge that is asset management and O&M in Mexico.

Mr. Harney previously managed commercial market development for SolarCity, a solar leasing and installation company. Mr. Harney began his career in finance, eventually serving as a Vice President for Daiwa SMBC, a Japanese investment bank. He later advised on energy and national security issues while at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC and the International Energy Forum (IEF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
